Dr. Kim Langholz has wanted to be a veterinarian since grade school, and is currently the co-owner and Medical Director at Riverbend Veterinary PetCare Hospital. Dr. Langholz originally took a different path and used her biology teaching degree to be a research technician. After a variety of research positions, Dr. Langholz decided to get her Masters of Education in Special Education. She taught grades 6-12 at a hospital school for many years. She then served as the Director of the Challenger Learning Center and after hearing a particularly inspiring speech from an astronaut, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian! Dr. Langholz graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Langholz has lived in Arizona, California, Missouri, and North Carolina, and is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in 4 states. She is married and has an adult son, a daughter-in-law, two delightful granddaughters, and one dog, Tebow. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and painting. She enjoys watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting but would like to become skilled in watercolors particularly.
Jasmine joined us after moving to North Carolina from Virginia and has been a wonderful addition to the Riverbend family. She has been involved in the veterinary field for 18 years and is very passionate about our clients, both human and pet! She lives in Charlotte with her daughter, and five dogs, Apollo, Casanova, Gypsy, Nyomi, and Ruger.
Hope joined the Riverbend team after relocating from Columbus, Ohio with her family and is a Registered Veterinary Technician in both North Carolina and Ohio. She has worked in veterinary medicine for over 10 years and has been an RVT since 2009. Hope has wanted to work in veterinary medicine since she was 5 years old and is passionate about internal medicine and geriatrics.
She shares her home with her husband, two gray cats, Huckleberry Finn and Fionna, and two orange and white rabbits, Ceviche the Magnificent Lion and Pimento Loaf. She enjoys gardening, baking, traveling, scrapbooking, quilting, and all things Christmas!
Born and raised in New York, Christina moved to Charlotte, NC seven years ago and has been working with the Riverbend family for over a year. Growing up, she always had a great passion for animal care and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2020. She shares her home with a shy and sweet little rescue dog named Cherry and is thrilled to provide the best care for your fur babies!
Francesca is a native to Charlotte , NC. From a young age, Fran knew she wanted to work and care for animals. She is a recent spring 2021 graduate from North Carolina central university. Fran joined our team January 2022 as a Veterinary Technician Assistant. Her interest is in small and large animal medicine as well as clinical research. Fran has one amazing chiweenie named Bella. On Fran time off she enjoys painting, hiking and swimming.
Marissa joined the Riverbend team in February of 2022. She grew up in Gastonia and has a growing passion for pets of all shapes and sizes. Marissa began working with animals back in 2020 as a kennel assistant and became a veterinary assistant in early 2021. She shares her heart with 3 pets of her own. Her two Boston Terriers, Bully and Flik, and her orange kitty, Nemo. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends, exploring new places and true crime documentaries
Katlyn joined the RiverBend Team as a Veterinary Technician Assistant in April 2021. In the spring of 2020 she relocated from New York to sunny Charlotte, NC after 27 years and decided to turn her passion for animals into a career. In her free time she loves cooking, kayaking and photography, especially pet portraits. She shares her home with her fiancé and two wonderful cats, Miss Sassafras and Clara Jane.
Mary is a native of Charlotte. Her passion has always been caring for animals and people. Mary has over a decade experience in customer service. When not pursuing her passion she loves spending time with her husband, their dogs, Clara, Jack and their cats Sophia and Percy. Other hobbies include hiking, reading and playing video games.
Atiana is the General Assistant at Riverbend Veterinary PetCare Hospital. She is currently a student at Zebulon B. Vance High School and plans to become a CAT Scan Technician in the radiology field. She currently helps the staff with whatever they need assistance with while gaining experience in the medical field which will help her in her future career!
Sara joined the TotalBond team in October 2020 as a Receptionist and has over a decade of customer service experience. She grew up in Charlotte but has family in Boston and Cape Cod. In her free time she loves hanging out with friends, walking on the Greenway, or reading fantasy and thriller novels. She loves all things nerdy, especially Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel. She is very creative and loves writing, painting, and making dreamcatchers.
