Dr. Alexa Radley in Charlotte, NC

Dr. Alexa Radley is a new veterinary associate with Riverbend Hospital. She is originally from Maryland where she grew up with the dreams of being a veterinarian. Some of her early veterinary experiences include volunteering at the animal shelter, neuroscience research on chickens, veterinarian assistant at a small animal hospital and husbandry of elephants in Thailand. She went to Virginia Tech for an undergraduate degree in biology. She then proceeded to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, in 2021, from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts with her clinical year spent at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her veterinary interests include ultrasound, soft tissue surgery and feline medicine. She is also interested in continuing to learn and help with mental health/well being of all veterinary staff.

Outside of work Alexa enjoys spending time with her husband Reece and her three cats Lulu, Nylah, and Bexley. Her favorite hobbies include yoga, reading and traveling. Some travel destinations of interest include Africa/Kenya and Japan.
